Judicial Officers, Staff at Commercial Division Tipped on Effective Usage of Video Conferencing Facilities

Training on how to effectively utilize the Video Conferencing Facilities was today taken to the Commercial Court where Judicial Officers and staff at the Court participated in a hands-on engagement.

The training was facilitated by Mr Frank Byamukama, a Systems Administrator in the Judiciary together with Mr Eliyazali Lwanga a represantive from the Contractor Access IT Limited.

The training aimed at familiarizing participants with the System's functionality and provide them with the knowledge needed to operate it effectively.

Mr. Lwanga noted that the video conferencing system includes a network media processor, speakers, audio and display units, remote management capabilities, microphones, intelligence cameras with auto-tracking, auto-zoom, and auto-focus features, as well as other Artificial Intelligence (AI) features. 

Adding that it also features a document visualizer for scanning documents and allows for remote control on the Judiciary network from any station in the country.

Hon. Justice Stephen Mubiru (the Head of the Division), Hon Lady Justice Ann Mugenyi(the Deputy Head of the Division) Hon Lady Justice Susan Abinyo and Hon Justice Thomas Ocaya participated in the exercise.

Deputy Registrars; HW Jessica Chemeri (Deputy Registrar), HW Jude Okumu Muwone, Assistant Registrars; HW Namutebi Christa and HW Mulondo Mastula as well as Magistrates Grade I Research as well as the IT team at the Division participated in the engagement.
